About CERT Kingman

Our mission
To train and organize volunteers in Kingman and surrounding Mohave County so that residents can take meaningful action in the first minutes and hours of a disaster — when first responders are most stretched and a neighbor's hand is most needed.
Our history
CERT Kingman traces its roots to community organizing around wildfire and monsoon response in the early 2000s. We were established as a formal team in partnership with the Kingman Fire Department and the Mohave County Office of Emergency Management. Today we count roughly ten trained members and are actively preparing to welcome our next cohort.
Who serves
Our members include retired nurses and firefighters, schoolteachers, ham-radio operators, contractors, and neighbors who have simply decided that being useful in a crisis is worth a few weekends. We do not require prior experience.
