Welcome to the CERT Kingman website!
The Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) Kingman, Arizona is a 501(C)3 volunteer organization. CERT Kingman, Arizona was formed by neighbors who believe Mohave County is stronger when ordinary people are prepared. We are a volunteer organization aligned with our local fire and emergency services partners. Our members complete at least 20 hours of FEMA-aligned training in disaster response.
We meet the first Monday of every month at the Kathryn Heidenreich Adult Center at 5:30 P.M. New volunteers are always welcome — no experience required, just a willingness to learn and a commitment to serve your community.
CERT Kingman is a participating member of the Mohave County Community Organizations Active in Disaster (COAD).
What is CERT?
The Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) program trains volunteers to be better prepared to respond to emergency situations in their own communities. When earthquakes, wildfires, monsoons, or power outages disrupt normal services, CERT members can give critical support to first responders, provide immediate assistance to neighbors, and organize the spontaneous volunteers who show up at a disaster site.
Beyond emergencies, our members serve the community year-round through preparedness fairs, community outreach, search support, first aid booths, and non-emergency projects that improve neighborhood safety.
